Product Giving Alliance

Product Giving Alliance

Charity Digital - FareShare - In Kind Direct - International Health Partners

We launched the Product Giving Alliance in May 2020, working alongside Charity Digital, FareShare and International Health Partners, to make supporting communities the easy option for companies, manufacturers and retailers. Since the pandemic we have supported over 16,700 charities. We estimate that together, the value of goods and services we have provided to charities in the UK and Overseas supporting vulnerable people was worth almost £60m.

Our mission

We aim to unlock the maximum social good from surplus and donated products and services, by redistributing these in an efficient way to the appropriate beneficiaries.

How we’ll achieve it

The Product Giving Alliance exists in partnership to meet the needs of the voluntary sector, both during the coronavirus pandemic and longer term. We make it as easy as possible for manufacturers and retailers to provide much needed products and services, across all sectors – consumer products and equipment, food, IT and healthcare – to front-line charities supporting vulnerable people.

The Alliance champions Product Giving, highlighting its CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility), reputational and environmental benefits to business, as well as its proven positive impact on employee engagement.

COVID-19 response

“…For those families, households and individuals that have struggled to access food, toiletries, medicine or technology during lockdown, the continued work of the thousands of charities the Product Giving Alliance supports is vital. We make donating easy for companies, as well as giving them the confidence that their stock can achieve real impact. We encourage more businesses to see what is possible and step up however they can.”
